Employment help and advice if you are living with cancer

If you are living with cancer, The Christie, Shaw Trust Vocational Rehabilitation and Macmillan Cancer Support are working together in the Greater Manchester area to give you advice, guidance and support in your current job, or if you are looking for a new job.

If you need support with your current job, we can help you by providing reassurance, assistance and advice, and through courses such as our ‘Wellbeing in the Workplace’ course.

We can also work with you and your employer to advise on any adjustments they may need to make for you, to agree a graduated ‘return to work plan’ to suit you both, and to mediate where conflict may exist to ensure return to work plans are adhered to.

If you are looking for another job, it’s often difficult to know what else you could do for a job…we can look at the options with you and support you through a vocational pathway highlighting and supporting any training needed in order to transfer your skills to new employment.
